Here's ways to Seal your Diamond Painting

Once you’ve aligned the glittery and glamorous diamonds to their respective places on the canvas, you’ll be awestruck by the beauty that is lying in front of you. While you’ll be engulfed by the feelings of fulfillment and bliss, don’t forget to perform the practically final stage of Painting by Diamonds i.e., sealing your diamond painting.

Types of sealers

There are two types of sealers: sealers that can be applied by sprays and sealers that can be applied by brushes.

They are water-resistant, dustproof, also you can mount your diamond painting without the glass frame. There are some disadvantages. Your diamond painting will lose some shine after sealing. You won’t be able to roll up your painting.

Spray sealer is totally different from the brush-on sealer. These are used to give a crystal clear and shiny finish to the diamond painting. But they do not fill the spaces between the diamonds like the brush-on sealers. Spray sealers help you to make your diamond sparkle for a long time. They are waterproof, dries quickly and can roll up the finished canvas. There some shortcomings, that I must mention: the gaps between the diamond drills will not be fully filled and sealer is less dust resistant.

You’ve now entered the final stretch and every moment is taking you closer to your masterpiece. The slaying sealant is ready to work its magic now. The three types of sealants which slay in their very own way are:

Glue Sticks: Tenderly smear this sealant all over the painting until you’re satiated.

Glue Paste: Immerse your paintbrush in this paste and stroke a layer on the painting. (Going over the board here could be bad too)

Glue Spray: While maintaining a distance of a few inches, point the nozzle towards the canvas and spray over the entire painting.

MORE TIPS AND TRICKS

If your painting has both diamond beads and regular paint, then put the glue only over the diamond beads. Once you're done with the first layer, apply a second or third until you’re satisfied. Make sure you don't apply too much, it will dull the sparkle of your diamond painting.

Make sure you’re satisfied with the end product! Remember, what you see is what you will get. Once you put on the sealant, there’s no going back, so you have to make sure that your masterpiece looks perfect.

Examine your painting for any rogue pixels that feel out of place or don't match the overall color scheme. This is your artwork after all, and you get to decide what looks good and what doesn’t!
